Field Trip

The congress tour takes place Saturday, June 8, with a route that begins at the IPB campus in Bragança and follows the course marked on the map.
The trip follows a diverse landscape and includes, in the morning, passing through Montesinho Natural Park and at the northeastern highlands where, beyond the natural landscape, one may notice the young hardwood plantations. The lunch will take place in agritourism in the village of Caçarelhos, Vimioso County.

The route will continue in the afternoon toward Mogadouro, through typical villages of the Mirandês highlands, and we can observe the natural landscape of this region consisting mainly of marshes flanked by traditional ash and oaks. Are also observed several plantations installed under the EU programs to encourage afforestation. In Mogadouro is scheduled a visit to the Quinta da Nogueira, where we can observe areas of oak, cork oak, walnut and holm oak, further than the multifunctional land use. Finally, return to Bragança, passing through Vimioso. Arrival in the late afternoon.
