The official language of the meeting is English.
However, attendees participating in II EHPE Symposia might orally present in Spanish or Portuguese, however the visual presentation (e.g. PPT, Prezi) has to be in English.
Simultaneous interpretation among these three languages will not be available.
Instructions for posters:
Posters should be portrait orientation, with maximum dimensions of 914mm x 1292 mm (35.9″ x 50.8″). Materials may be secured to bulletin boards with poster tape which will be provided. All posters will be on display for the duration of the conference.
Instructions for oral presentations:
Presentations slides must be prepared in English. Presentation time is 15 minutes (10 minutes talk and 5 minutes questions).
AV needs:
Society for Economic Botany 2017 uses Windows-based computers. We require that all presentations be brought on USB drives to the room where your session/symposium will take place to be uploaded onto the computer provided for presentations during the latest the break preceding your session/symposium or earlier the same day to be tested and uploaded in advance so that any problems can be discovered and corrected and to minimize issues that the AV assistants must deal with immediately before and during the session. Changing computers between talks results in sessions being delayed; for this reason, we strictly limit the use of personal computers. Requests to use a personal computer must be made at the time of abstract submission.
